- 2 cups water
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper omit and replace with fennel seed if needed
- ⅛ teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon turmeric
- 2 green or chamomile tea bags
Get Recipe Ingredients
Add water, lemon, ginger honey, cayenne, cinnamon, and turmeric to a small pot on medium heat.
Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the spices. Reduce the heat to low, add the tea bags, and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Pour the mixture through a mesh strainer over 2 mugs or a bowl (then pour into 2 mugs).
Drink hot or cold.
