Happy Tummy Tea

My grandma’s happy tummy tea is a powerhouse for reducing bloating and supporting digestion! This herbal tea is loaded with all the good stuff–ginger, cinnamon, lemon, cayenne, turmeric, and honey. 🫖

  • Small pot
  • Mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper omit and replace with fennel seed if needed
  • teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
  • teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 green or chamomile tea bags

Instructions

  • Add water, lemon, ginger honey, cayenne, cinnamon, and turmeric to a small pot on medium heat.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the spices. Reduce the heat to low, add the tea bags, and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture through a mesh strainer over 2 mugs or a bowl (then pour into 2 mugs).
  • Drink hot or cold.
